The Barclaycard Arrival Plus is a 2.1% cash back card when you redeem your points for travel. Depending on the card issuer, travel can be either a broad or more narrow category. Luckily, Barclay takes the wider definition of travel and will even allow you to use your points to reimburse expenses like amusement park tickets. Save up the 40,000 point signup bonus and the additional points your earn throughout the year to cover the costs of visiting the Disney parks.

Southwest miles aren’t always the best to collect, especially if your goal is to travel internationally, but if you want to go to Disney, Southwest presents a great option. Southwest flies to 49 destinations direct from Orlando International Airport on a regular or seasonal basis. You also get two checked bags for free when you are flying with Southwest, so when you are traveling with the whole family you don’t need to worry about lugging your bags around the airport too.

If you want to stay close to Disney, you’ll be looking at paying a pretty penny for your hotel room. Fear not! A couple of hotels, like the Walt Disney World Dolphin and Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort, are bookable with Starwood Preferred Guest points. The signup bonus of 25,000 SPG points from the SPG credit card is enough to book two to three nights for free at these hotels.
Even though this is the Disney credit card, it is probably the least valuable on this list for cards to get to travel to Disney. It might be worth considering if you travel to Disney regularly because any purchases made at Disney locations will earn 2% back in the form of Disney Reward Dollars, but that’s about the same as the Barclaycard Arrival Plus and you can use those points on other travel experiences too.
What the Disney Premier Visa Card might be worth it for are the other in-park benefits including character meet & greet at a cardmember private location, 10% off select merchandise purchases, 10% off dining locations, 15% off select guided tours and recreation experiences, and vacation financing on select vacation packages.
Which credit card or cards do you think are best to travel to Disney?
